US Energy Star Certification Services Update

As of December 28th, 2018, the U.S. EPA has been closed due to a lapse in appropriations. For the duration of the U.S. government shutdown, the ENERGY STAR website and all ENERGY STAR tools, resources and data services will not be available. This includes the Qualified Products List.

Because of this, CBs cannot upload any information to the EPA as per the program requirements.

Additionally, products cannot be viewed in the ENERGY STAR database, by partners or consumers. EPA has stated that CBs may continue to certify products during the lapse, but will have to wait until the shutdown is over to submit the qualified data to EPA.

This means that Eurofins | MET is still allowed to certify review reports and certify products during this lapse.

We can still issue certification letters for ENERGY STAR Partners products.

Once the EPA’s  ENERGY STAR web services are available again, we will submit all products certified during the shutdown as quickly as possible.

Please note, the EPA will be unable to answer questions or provide support to partners or CBs until they are reopened.

We look forward to being able to provide the best possible service for our ENERGY STAR Customers during this time.
